Pumpkin Festival No. 1.

Emma and I had a great time last Saturday at the first pumpkin festival we attended this Halloween season. She rode a pony, Scout, provided by the Westernaires, picked out a pumpkin for our porch (the "sacrifice" pumpkin, she calls it ... since the squirrels are having at it), did the inflatable obstacle courses and bouncy castles, visited with some of the PTs from Children's Northwest and saw some of her classmates. We also got to see a Colorado RUFF flyball demonstration and some Scottish dancers. And there was free breakfast.

From the Inside.

These are some of my fave places and pieces from the interior of the Hamilton Building. Can't wait to go back and leisurely wander through the building, especially with Laura and Denny.

More exterior shots.

DAM, I love this place ....

Had the great fortune to spend the better part of Friday touring the new Hamilton Building at the Denver Art Museum, and ... I'm in love. This place is just incredible. I know some folks are critical of it, claiming the architecture competes with the art, but I disagree. It makes the art inside sing. It's thoroughly engaging. I just can't remember the last time I was excited to be inside an art museum.

(Above) This was my view looking straight up from my breakfast table on an outdoor deck of the North (Ponti) Building on Friday. Could the sky be any more beautiful?
